Garrison City Beerworks Mural

Garrison City Beerworks Mural

Garrison City Beerworks is a small-batch brewery cranking out a constantly rotating list of hoppy jams that is only 0.3 miles from our studio in downtown Dover. And that's actually kind of far considering there's one brewery that's only 381 feet away and another brewery that's 0.2 miles away. Tough life, I know.

Nicole Gray, the head brewer, reached out to see if we could do something with a wall in their back room. She's a total beer nerd, obsessed with the science of brewing and pushing that little hop to the max to see what kind of new, experimental flavors she can accomplish in such a teeny space. Her boozy enthusiasm was the perfect inspiration for our mural.

Working with a room that was already blue, we added the white organic-cellular-blobs to create that under the microscope vibe and then used Sharpie oil based paint markers to freestyle the wall with everything related to the GCB space and the science of brewing.

This freestyle mural was done over two days and is 14' long by 9' high.

Enjoy this process video of the mural thanks to Bill Kramer!
